Gerrard Absent in Early Season

Liverpool - Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is sidelined until September. Gerrard was rushed to hospital due to infection related to a groin injury he suffered since last season.

Gerrard to undergo rehabilitation from a groin injury that kept him out earlier, since mid-March, the last season. However, the Reds manager Kenny Dalglish could lower the optimistic 31-year-old midfielder at the start of next season.
However, the facts say otherwise. Serious blow to Liverpool because of losing Gerrard for much longer. "Steven Gerrard today undergoing antibiotic treatment of infections related to problems in his groin," a statement on Liverpool's official.

Liverpool added that Gerrard will remain hospitalized for several days to advance so that the procedure bypassed completely. England midfielder has never competed in this year's pre-season matches, including a tour to Asia.

Because of these problems defend Gerrard will miss Liverpool in the Premier League game against Sunderland, Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers. Match away to Stoke City on September 10 seems to be a target for Gerrard to return realtistis grazing.

Even so, Gerrard will also be sidelined for England which meets the Netherlands in a friendly on August 10. He is also doubtful to play when England visit to Bulgaria on September 2 in the party and the Euro 2012 qualifier four days later to face Wales.
